My very own Fairy Hobmother.

Long long ago in a land far far away….

Or just a couple weeks ago in the land of blogs….I saw the magic of the Fairy Hobmother in action.  Having no idea what to expect…or what was coming.  Wishes and dreams and Fairy Hobmother dust….that’s what this story is made of.

I was reading a friends blog, when I saw the story…and was compelled to comment {not compelled in a vampire way, sorry Miranda}.  To leave a wish {of which I have many, but since time travel and magic healing powers probably wouldn’t be something possible…..}.  And the Fairy Hobmother waved her Fairy Wand and said some magic words and I got my wish granted!  The thing that is magical…is you never know just when her wand might swing your way.  Maybe you will get something you need, something you want, something magical….and maybe even the Best Washing Machine!

If you leave a wish below you may just get that wish granted by your very own Fairy Hobmother.

PS: You won’t even believe how excited I am that the wish I was granted was one that will help me make my next place a place for me!

This was supposed to be gracing the internets a  couple of days ago , but scheduling issues…the black out

and well…here it is now!  Bippity Boppity will the Fairy Hobmother visit you????

What I wouldn’t give for a spa day. I’ve never had one, but I bet they are grand. This stressed out Momma hasn’t had a hair cut in six months or more, and we won’t discuss the state of the callouses on my feet. Eat, sleep, kids, work, housework, repeat. — Because I don’t think anyone can ever grant my wish of more time in a day to do the things I need to do!

I’m really glad that the Hobmother visited you to help with the new place! I’m thinking if Hobmother came to visit me, I’d want a Fitbit. Something I’ve wanted for a while but just can’t justify the cost since it’s just for me, not hubs or HJ. ;)

Or Fairy Hobmother if I was ever to be graced by a visit from you I would wish for a little help with transforming my little ones bedroom from a nursery into a room fit for a little boy! I haven’t had the resources to do it but he’s been dreaming of a new “big boy” transformation that goes beyond the twin sized bed that we got for him last year.

How awesome! I like this Fairy Hobmother already!

My wish is for some funds to put toward sending my older son (who has sensory processing disorder) to a daycare center designed for kids like him. We toured it recently, and it seems absolutely perfect for him. Unfortunately, it’s a lot more expensive than our current daycare, and I’m just not sure we can afford it.

First, I love the name – Fairy Hobmother. I don’t know why; it’s just funny to me.

Small things make me happy. My daughter and I won’t see my husband much for the next six months due to training. We like things that are small, yet allow us to enjoy the little time we will have together. Chick-Fil-A, movies, long walks. They all make us happy.

I’m happy you got something to help start off your new life right!

Oh, man. I wish for new shoes (lost my favorite pair), a new washing machine and curtains foe our new place. It’s a little creepy having people look in our windows.

I’d love a camera. A real one. Not on my phone. Not one that points & clicks, and that’s it. One where, when the auto focus isn’t doing its job, I can focus it myself. Where I can hone in on the perfect little smile, the twinkle in an eye, the blur of a first summersault. I want my children to think they actually remember their first years because they’ve seen just that many crystalized moments caught on film just for them.

I am so glad you got someone to help you start your new life! That is so amazing, and must be a sign of good things to come.

Oh Fairy Hobmother, I would love a visit from you. We have two daughters under 3 and are welcoming a third in a few months. We have a small house, and my husband works so hard to keep our list of needs short. We rarely have enough money to spend time together as a couple, so a small gift card to Outback Steakhouse or Bonefish Grill would mean so much to us!

Alena, I am soooooooo happy that the Fairy Hobmother came to visit you! The last year wasn’t the best for us, just as it wasn’t the best for most anyone I know (seems 2011 just sucked for everyone!) but through it all I learned to count the blessings I have. There are quite a few things that I could wish for for myself but honestly, those aren’t the things that come to the forefront of my mind right now.

Fairy Hobmother, my wish that I ask of you is to please send me my friend Alena’s current address (via a FB message would be just fine) because I have something that I’ve decided I would really like to give her. Thank you!!

Dear Fairy Hobmother,
My 15 year old daughter is sleeping on a mattress that was mine when I was a kid. It’s at least 30 years old and in terrible shape. My mattress is just as old but I can’t afford to replace either one as my disability checks just won’t cover new ones and food for the month.
My wish would be for a new one for my daughter.

My wish is for paint for my living/dining room.

Wow, this is amazing! Whoever came up with this is wonderful.

So, hey, Fairy Hobmother….could you find my husband a better paying job? We’re struggling something fierce here!

And if not that ;) then a drier might be pretty cool. The house we’re renting has a washing machine (thank goodness! The last one didn’t!) but no drier, and we sure can’t afford to buy one!

OR – maybe something toward a twin mattress for my little guy? He has the bed frame, handed down from my dad, we just need to save up for the mattress.

:)

Wow. Just wow. There are some pretty amazing people out there, and today I found another – the Fairy Hobmother. What an amazing thing to do for others.

I am not going to wish for anything except for the Fairy Hobmother to be able to continue grating wishes, big and small. I could list several things here for myself, but I know there are people and families who need there wishes granted more than I do, so carry on Fairy Hobmother, carry on with your wonderful gifts!

I wish for answers. For courage. For knowing what’s right.
For healing and love and grace.
I wish for the list of books I keep adding to, but never buy.
Or new pots and pans, because that’s always fun.
I wish for some kind of sleep machines for the boys’ rooms so maybe bedtime will be a little bit smoother.
I wish for happiness… For happily ever after.

I wish to be content.
I’ve been through the ringer last year with my diagnosis of bipolar disorder and I’m ready to live again. This year I want to be content. I want to be able to enjoy my family and my friends like I am supposed to.
I just want to be content.

I’ve never HEARD of the Fairy Hobmother!! How cool!

If she decided to visit me, I’d love some kind of start up for my new shop. Like fabrics or something to help get me started so that my shop can be at least a little bit successful :) It’s not much to ask for, especially when other people have greater needs to be met and wishes to be granted!

And really, I wish that ALL of us could have some semblance of peace in our lives, even if it’s just for 5 minutes a day ;)

I am so happy you were able to have a wish granted and get some things for your new life.

I have been working to get my business back up and running. After being pregnant and sick for 9 months then dealing with all the highs and lows of having a baby and having a baby with COLIC to boot, I need to get back on the wagon. I wanted to purchase a cricut but that hasn’t been in the cards just yet. So that is what I would wish for.

But seeing is how others have far greater needs, mine almost seems petty.

I am so happy you were able to have a wish granted and get some things for your new life.
