Great job!!! And here's a little tip - I'm constantly finding myself without safety pins when I need them, so for sewing purposes I improvise. My secret? I use a regular post type earring instead. You just stick it through the end of your ribbon and put the back piece on the post, sandwiching your ribbon or elastic in between (just like your ears). It's just as effective and I can always find an extra earring laying around - especially those orphaned earrings that have lost their mate!

Sophia looked so adorable in this cute little dress!!! You did an awesome job!!! One little tip that I have learned in my sewing adventures, take the pins out as they are going through the machine because they could break your needle!!! You don't want to have to clean all the broken pieces out of the machine either!! We should get together for a sewing party!! I still need to finish my first quilt and my apron!!!

Jill-I just didn't know what I was supposed to do. I even had the extra fabric out. I think it's probably easier to do it with out it. I just had a tiny little pleat in the middle of each arm hole.

Mom-I KNOW! And my baby was just an angel and wanted to allow me to sleep. Too bad real babies don't have any concept of letting anyone sleep. And I use SO MANY straight pins because I was worried it wouldn't be a straight line. And because the fabric was dark and the thread was white I knew it'd be obvious if it was all curvy. So it was like a realllly easy connect the dots. I can't believe I made anything either! Who knows, maybe in 45 years when I have children old enough to get married I will be able to make a hankie to wipe Cody's tears with. Ha ha :-)

WOW! What can I say. Never in my wildest dreams when you were growing up did I picture you making anything. Nope, don't even remember there being a home ec class in your past. But we could talk about the family class and the crying baby that came home with you. Why did the baby get broke and couldn't cry? We can just say I am speechless here. Looks like you did a great job. They are so easy to make. You will do good on the pj bottoms too. You will have to explain why you use SO many straight pins. Love ya
